Mother Chiara Stella Vitale, SDV

Mother Chiara Stella Vitale was born on September 14 at Borgo Montoro Inferiore (AV) to the late Nicola and Carmela D’Amore.   She was baptized on September 25, 1949 and was confirmed on February 14, 1970.   Mother Chiara joined the Vocationist Sisters in Italy on March 19, 1970, she entered the novitiate on December 26, 1971.   From 1974 to 1978 was sent to Rome to study, where she obtained the degree in Elementary Education.  On September 7, 1980, Mother Chiara took her perpetual vows and worked as an elementary school teacher in Pianura-Naples from 1978-1987.   She was appointed as novice mistress from 1987-1998 and then General Secretary.   On 2010 she was appointed superior of the mother house community at Pianura, Naples until 2016. On July 2016 during the general chapter she was elected Mother General of the congregation.

Mother Chiara has been gifted with many good qualities and talents to lead Vocationist Sisters and to help them to reach their goal.   She is a wonderful and virtuous woman able to lead and guide the congregation to accomplish its mission.
